How do I use my iPad for an FUHSD Adult School class?

Tablet devices are not recommended for fully participating in Schoology based classes.  It is possible for new larger iPads to function in our environment.  The minimum requirement is a newer iPad with an attached keyboard.  The software and plugins used for Adult Ed classes are not targeted for iPad and some features and or lessons may not work.

Students will need the following:

• Larger newer iPad
• External Keyboard
• Pointing device (mouse or apple pencil)
• The iCloud account and password for that device (to download software and approve security certificates)

You need to connect to the wireless network, then install the Securely Certificate. It is not good enough to just connect, without the certificate you will be unable to access most resources.

First Connect to Wifi:
(These instructors work for both iPhone's and iPads.)

Step 1: Open Settings

Step 2: Tap "Wi-Fi"

Step 3: Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on / enabled

Step 4: Under "Networks", Select "fuhsd"

Step 5: Enter your Username (your username is the part of your account before the @student.fuhsd.org so digbeh2317@student.fuhsd.org would use digbeh2137 as the username)

Step 6: Enter your password

Step 7: Tap "Join"

Step 8: Select "Trust" when asked to approve the certificate

You should now be on the on campus wifi

No Install The Securely Certificate
Step 1:  From your iOS device goto https://www.securly.com/ssl and select "Download the certificate"

Step 2: Open your Settings app and navigate to General > VPN & Device Management

Step 3: Tap the securly.com profile that you downloaded in step 1.

Step 4: Next tap the Install button in the top right hand corner.

Step 5: Tap Install once again in the pop-up.

Step 6: You Securly SSL certificate should now be fully installed.
