How do I host a zoom meeting from Schoology? (CAEP)
Zoom meetings can be setup and managed within Schoology. You will be completing two specific tasks, adding the Zoom plugin to your class which only needs to be done once. Scheduling the zoom meetings from within the zoom plugin.
Step 1: Log into Schoology and go to your class
Step 3: Go to "Add Materials" and select "Add File/Link/External Tool"
Step 4: Click on the Tool Provider Drop Down and select "Zoom LTI"
Step 5: Set the Title to "Class Zoom Meeting"
Step 6: Do not change any other setting and select "Submit"
Step 7: Your "Class Zoom Meeting" Now shows up select the title to enter the zoom plugin and Select "Schedule a New Meeting"
Step 8: Title your class meeting, add a description, set the date and time of the first meeting, set the class meeting duration.
Step 9: Set these following settings
- Check "Recuring meeting"
- Set te Recurence
- Set how often the meeting repeats (in this case every week)
- Set the days of the week the meeting happens
- Set the end date (preferred over figuring out the number of occurrences)
Step 10: Set the security
- Set the passcode (required)
- Check "Waiting Room"
- Check "Only authenticated users can join meetings"
- Set to FUHSD Internal Only by default
- Set Video Host to "On"
- Set Video Participant to "On"
- Set "Enable join before host"
- Set "Mute participants upon entry"
Step 11: Add any alternative hosts if desired
Step 12: Select "Save"
Step 13: Select the "Course Meetings" link to edit the meeting sessions
Step 14: Delete any session not desired (Zoom will schedule meetings on holidays those should be deleted)
