How do I update my Apple laptop?

Most staff are issued laptops built by Apple Computer running the Mac OS X operating system. Most instructors are setup as an Administrator on the computer so when the computer asks for an admin password you use would use your username and password. If you are unable to authorize and update please make an appointment to bring in your laptop.
Below is the process for updating
Before running an update your laptop should be
- Plugged into the wall
- On a steady internet connection
- Not be needed for 2 hours
