In order to use break out rooms in zoom you need to activate the feature in zoom. This cannot be done using the client and must be done on the zoom.us website.

Step 1: Go to https://fuhsd-org.zoom.us and click sign in

Step 2: Sign in With Google

Step 3: Select Settings

Step 4: Scroll Down and activate Breakout room, you can Allow host to assign participants to breakout room when scheduling but his feature is not really useful for classrooms.

You can now use break out rooms in the zoom client
