Frequently Asked Question
All CAEP classes must host secure zoom meetings that are limited to @student.fuhsd.org accounts. Classes taught without Schoology need to schedule zoom meetings from within Schoology (Instructions here)
Step 1: Click on the zoom link on the Student Start Page
Step 2: Select "Sign In"
Step 3: Select "Schedule a Meeting"
Step 4: Enter you Class information use the Course Title for the Topic.
Step 5: Select "Recurring meeting"
Step 6: Set your recurring meeting information
- Set how often the recurrence happens
- Set how many weeks between occurrences
- Set what days of the week the meeting occurs on
- Set an end date
(Note you cannot set the schedule to skip weeks or days for vacations or breaks so schedule one set before a break (such as thanksgiving) and another after the break till the end of the term.)
Step 7: Give the session a passcode
Step 8: Select "Require Authentication to join"
Step 9: Set the authentication requirement to "FUHSD Internal Only"
Step 10: Set you media Settings
- Video: Host = On
- Video: Participant = On
- Audo: COmputer Audio
- Meeting Options: Allow participants to join anytime "checked"
- Meeting Options: Mute participants upon entry "checked"
Step 11: Do Not Automatically or Manually record class meetings (School Policy)
Step 12: Select "Save" To schedule your meeting
Step 13: Select Show to view your passcode
Step 14: Send your students the Meeting ID and Passcode only, do not send the invite link. (School Policy)
